Second year head coach Garrett Estrin guided his team to a 7-10-4 overall record and a 2-6-2 conference record. As a reward for their fifth place finish, the team was bestowed with three All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference honors.
COD (7-7-3; 2-3-1) played their best 90 minutes of soccer against one of the best teams in the nation, as they held a one goal lead until the final 90 seconds, still salvaging a hard fought tie against the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines (15-1-1; 5-0-1), 1-1.
COD (7-7-2) played to a shooting match tie, as both teams combined for over 50 total shots and almost 30 shots on goal, but only two of those shots found the back of the net, pulling a draw out of the El Cajon Grossmont Griffins (6-7-1), 1-1.
COD (6-7-1; 5-4) received huge production from three different offensive players as all three had two goals each in a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference win over the El Cajon Cuyamaca Coyotes (2-12; 2-5), 8-1.
COD (4-7-1; 3-4) rolled into halftime tied at 0-0 and then the second half started as the home side unleashed their offense crushing the San Diego City Knights (1-11; 1-5), 5-0.
Two College of the Desert women's soccer players, sophomore midfielder Sydney Hannibal (La Quinta H.S.) and sophomore goal keeper Britney Vargas (La Quinta H.S.), were recently named to the 2016 CCCAA Academic All-State Team.
