COD Baseball: Follett named PCAC Athlete of the Week

COD Baseball sophomore third baseman Nick Follett (Toronto (ONT) Bishop Allen Academy) was named the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference's (PCAC) Male Athlete of the Week for the week of March 19th.

According to the release, issued by PCAC Sports Information Director, Tom Saxe, "Follett led COD to two straight victories over Southwestern which enabled the Roadrunners to come back from a first-game loss to win the teams' three-game series with back-to-back one-run wins.

In game 2, Follett went 3-for-4 with a sacrifice-fly RBI and a run scored as COD took home a 5-4 victory.

And the Roadrunners also won the third game 7-6 with Follett going 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs, a run scored and a steal.

With COD trailing 6-3 entering the bottom of the ninth inning and the score now 6-5, he stole second and scored the winning run on Jonathan Mejia's walk-off 2-run single into the left-centerfield gap."

Next home game for College of the Desert Baseball will be Thursday, April 5th at 2p, where they will continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play by hosting the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines. Hope to see you there.
