Under the guidance of 9th-year head coach Detlev Rothe, the College of the Desert women’s volleyball team delivered one of the most successful seasons in program history.
The College of the Desert Women’s Volleyball team has earned the #9 seed in the 3C2A SoCal Regional Playoffs and will receive a first-round bye, advancing directly to the second round. The Roadrunners will travel to face the #8 Miramar Jets on Tuesday, November 25 at 6 p.m. in San Diego.

College of the Desert sophomore outside hitter Clairie Thomas (La Quinta H.S.) has been named the 3CWVCA Week 10 State Player of the Week, earning statewide recognition after another dominant stretch in the Roadrunners’ historic season.
College of the Desert (17-4; 6-0) continued its dominant run through the Inland Empire Athletic Conference, earning its 11th sweep of the season and 9th straight win with a 3–0 victory over the Cerro Coso Coyotes (9-11; 2-4) of Ridgecrest (25-18, 25-22, 25-15) remaining perfect in conference play.

College of the Desert (16-4; 5-0 IEAC) rolled through the first two sets and held off a late push to notch their 10th sweep of the season and 8th straight victory, defeating San Bernardino Valley, 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-22). With the win, COD remains undefeated in Conference play.
College of the Desert (14-4; 3-0) stayed perfect in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play, extending its winning streak to six matches with a gritty 3-2 road victory over perennial contender Mt. San Jacinto (8-9; 2-2). The Roadrunners held off the Eagles in a back-and-forth battle, winning by set scores of 26-24, 18-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-13.
COD wins their second game on the road to start off their 2025 conference matches undefeated at (2-0), extending to a 5 game win streak and their 8th sweep of the season. Your Roadrunners travelled to Victorville and beat the Victor Valley Rams 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-16).
The College of the Desert Women’s Volleyball team (11–4) continued its dominant run, securing its third straight sweep — and seventh of the season — with a decisive 3–0 victory over the El Camino Warriors (5–8) of Torrance. Set scores were 25–19, 25–18, 25–22.
The College of the Desert women’s volleyball team (10–4) notched its sixth sweep of the season, cruising past the Imperial Valley Desert Warriors (0–2) in straight sets, 3–0 (25–23, 25–20, 25–11).

The Roadrunners (5-2) picked up their second sweep of the season in dominant fashion, defeating the Los Angeles Harbor Seahawks of Wilmington (1-1) in the first-ever meeting between the two programs, 3-0 (25-7, 25-13, 25-13).
The College of the Desert Women’s Volleyball team (2-2) opened the 2025 campaign with a competitive run at the Eagles Tournament, hosted by Los Angeles Mission College in Sylmar. The Roadrunners battled through four matches, earning two hard-fought wins while pushing the host Eagles to the limit in the championship final.
