COD Baseball second baseman Michael Macias (Rancho Mirage H.S.) has signed a letter of intent with Lincoln College in Illinois.
COD Baseball second baseman Michael Macias (Rancho Mirage H.S.) has signed a letter of intent with Lincoln College in Illinois.
The 5-10, 163-pound infielder played in 30 of 40 games in 2019, his only season with the Roadrunners. Starting 22 of those 30 games, taking his spot at second base in 13 games and playing at third base in 12 games. Macias would spend the bulk of his time batting in the lower half of the lineup, contributing out of the nine hole, ten times and out of the seven hole, seven times.
Lincoln College is located in Lincoln, Illinois which is about 170 miles southwest of Chicago and about 130 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri. The LC Lynx play at the Lincoln College Baseball Field and the team is coached by first year head coach, Greg May. In the 2021 season, the Lynx were 2-23 in conference play, with an overall record of 3-34. Lincoln College is in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) of the NAIA.
