Football: Stephen Johnson II Earns Third Consecutive Weekly Honor
PALM DESERT, Calif. - For the third conseuctive week, a stellar performance by sophomore quarterback Stephen Johnson II (Rancho Cucamonga, CA/Los Osos HS) has earned him American Mountain League Offensive Player of the Week honors.
PALM DESERT, Calif. - For the third conseuctive week, a stellar performance by sophomore quarterback Stephen Johnson II (Rancho Cucamonga, CA/Los Osos HS) has earned him American Mountain League Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Johnson led the Roadrunners to a 53-34 victory over San Bernardino last Saturday evening, bringing the SBVC-Desert Challenge trophy back to Palm Desert. He completed 31 of 50 passes for 514 yards and five touchdowns, while also rushing 13 times for 54 yards and two touchdowns. Johnson currently leads the SCFA in passing yards per game (321.4), while his 14 touchdown passes ranks him fifth.
The Roadrunners have a bye this week, before returning home to take on El-Camino Compton Center next Saturday, October 17 at 6 p.m.
