Stephen Johnson Signs with the University of Kentucky

Roadrunner sophomore quarterback Stephen Johnson II (Rancho Cucamonga, CA/Los Osos HS) officially signed his Letter of Intent to play football at the University of Kentucky last Saturday afternoon in College of the Desert Gymnasium.

Johnson finished his stellar season by passing for 3,210 yards and 34 touchdowns, while also rushing for 429 yards and eight touchdowns.  His 321.0 yards/game average led the Southern California Football Association (SCFA), with his 34 touchdowns doing the same.  Johnson helped lead the Roadrunners to a 6-4 record and an American Mountain League crown.

Johnson received multiple American Mountain League Player of the Week awards, and was also named as the conference's Offensive Player of the Year. 

The University of Kentucky, located in Lexington, Kentucky, is a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and participates in the East Division.  The Wildcats finished their 2015 season at 5-7 overall and 2-6 in the SEC.
