Football: Matthew Roy, Deshay Mukes Officially Sign
PALM DESERT, Calif. -- College of the Desert sophomores Matthew Roy (Palm Desert, CA/Palm Desert HS) and Deshay Mukes (Gary. IN/Thea Bowman HS) have officially signed to play football at Fort Lewis College and Indiana State University, respectively, earlier this afternoon in Palm Desert.
PALM DESERT, Calif. -- College of the Desert sophomores Matthew Roy (Palm Desert, CA/Palm Desert HS) and Deshay Mukes (Gary. IN/Thea Bowman HS) have officially signed to play football at Fort Lewis College and Indiana State University, respectively, earlier this afternoon in Palm Desert.
Roy, a tight end, caught a key touchdown pass in Desert's 27-24 victory over Southwestern midway through the Roadrunners' American Mountain League championship run. Mukes, a defensive lineman, recorded 22 total tackles, including three for a loss. He also added 1.5 sacks.
Fort Lewis College, located in Durango, Colorado, participates in the RMAC at the NCAA Division II level. More information on their athletics can be found here.
