Football: Aguirre Brothers Sign with Missouri Baptist

PALM DESERT, Calif. -- College of the Desert football will be sending a pair of brothers to Missouri Baptist University, as both Dominic and Jesus Aguirre have signed to continue their athletic careers and academic futures at the NAIA-member located in Saint Louis, Missouri.  

Jesus, a freshman, and Dominic, a sophomore, both hail from La Quinta High School, and turned in stellar seasons on the defensive side of the ball for COD.  Jesus, a cornerback, recorded 21 total tackles and recovered two fumbles, while also intercepting one pass.  

Dominic, a linebacker, finished his two-year Roadrunner career with 32 total tackles and 3.5 sacks.  He also notched eight tackles for loss, along with recovering three fumbles.

The duo also plans to study Exercise Science while attending Missouri Baptist.
