PALM DESERT, Calif. - College of the Desert men's basketball opened its 2015 season with an 82-77 victory over Imperial Valley on day one of the Frank Garcia/COD Tip-Off Classic Thursday evening in Palm Desert.
Freshman William Brown (Animo Los Angeles HS) led the Roadrunner offense with 25 points and 10 rebounds, while fellow freshmen, Kameron Dashner (La Quinta HS) and Marquete Eddie (Friendship Collegiate HS), also scored in double-figures with 14 and 10, respectively.
College of the Desert (1-0) will take on Glendale (AZ) tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. in round two of the Tip-Off Classic.
