COD Men’s Golf opens up the 2017 season at the OEC Tee-Off Classic

COD opened up the 2017 season at par-72 Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills where the team finished a strong seventh place out of 13 teams, with sophomore Nicolas Beeken (Liège, Belgium) leading the Roadrunners with a four-over, 76.

This tournament featured five Orange Empire teams, four Western State teams and four Pacific Coast teams, which was won by Orange Coast. 

Beeken had an impressive outing as he tied for 8th place with a four-over 76 and the next four for Desert were one stroke back. 

Freshman Sam Berglund (Melbourne, Australia) shot a 77, finishing 9th and freshman Gauthier Adams (Liège, Belgium) shot a 78.

Shooting a 79 was freshman Carl Hannson (Rättvik, Sweden), finishing 11th and freshman Vinny Vetrano (La Quinta H.S.) shot an 82 to wrap up the afternoon for the Roadrunners.

COD will make their next appearance at Spring Valley Lake Country Club in Victorville on Monday, February 13 as they continue non-Conference play.
