COD Men's Golf dominates at PCAC opener in La Jolla
COD Men's Golf freshman Gauthier Adams (Liège, Belgium) won his first event of the 2017 season as the Roadrunners rolled through their first Pacific Coast Athletic Conference event, hosted at a neutral site at the par-72 Torrey Pines-North Course in La Jolla.

All five PCAC schools participated in the tournament, which was won by College of the Desert, besting their nearest opponent by 8-strokes.
Adams had another impressive outing as he not only won the individual portion of the match, but shot an even par 72. Sophomore Nicolas Beeken (Liège, Belgium) shot a one over 73, finishing 2nd and freshman Matt Schmitt (Brawley H.S.) nailed a two over, 74, finishing third.
Shooting a 78 was Freshman Tyler Smith (Palm Desert H.S.) and freshman Vinny Vetrano (La Quinta H.S.) shot a 79. Wrapping up the afternoon for the Roadrunners was freshman Sam Berglund (Melbourne, Australia), shooting an 84.
COD will make their next appearance at Victor Country Club in Riverside on Monday, February 27th as they go back into non-Conference play.
