COD Men’s Golf grabs 2nd place at Twin Oaks, Schmitt shoots 2-under
COD Men's Golf freshman Matt Schmitt (Brawley H.S.) finished with one of his best rounds of the year, one stroke back of the leader, as the Roadrunners grabbed a second place finish in their sixth Pacific Coast Athletic Conference event, hosted at the par-72 Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos.
COD Men's Golf freshman Matt Schmitt (Brawley H.S.) finished with one of his best rounds of the year, one stroke back of the leader, as the Roadrunners grabbed a second place finish in their sixth Pacific Coast Athletic Conference event, hosted at the par-72 Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos.
All five PCAC schools participated in the tournament, which was won by Mt. San Jacinto.
Schmitt had one of his best outings of the season, shooting a two-over par 70. Freshman Sam Berglund (Melbourne, Australia) shot a two-over par 74. Both sophomore Nicolas Beeken (Liège, Belgium) and freshman Gauthier Adams (Liège, Belgium) shot a six-over 78.
Shooting a 79 was freshman Steven Wang (Taipei, Taiwan) and freshman Vinny Vetrano (La Quinta H.S.) wrapped up the afternoon shooting an 86.
COD will make their next appearance at Tournament Players Club Valencia in Valencia on Monday, April 3rd as they participate in a non-Conference event, the College of the Canyons Invitational.
