Under the tutelage of sixth-year coach Jose "Pipo" Castillo, Desert Men's Soccer ended the year with a 3-14-3 overall record and a 3-11-2 conference record. As a reward for their eighth place finish in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, the team was bestowed with an All-Conference honor.

Three College of the Desert Men's Soccer players, freshman forward Masataka Kosugi (Tokyo, Japan Jindai Senior), freshman midfielder Lucas M. Rezende (São Paulo, Brazil) and freshman forward Joao Paulo Stefano-Leite (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Carlos Drummond de Andrade) were recently named to the 2016 CCCAA Academic All-State Team.
