COD Men's Tennis continues to dominate IEAC, rolls past Rams, 9-0

COD (8-0; 6-0) traveled to made quick work of another Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) opponent, grabbing their eighth straight win of 2022, pushing past the Victor Valley Rams of Victorville (1-5; 1-4), 9-0.

In doubles play, the team of freshman Marco Alvarez (Chula Vista Eastlake) and freshman Matthew Shaw (Beverly Hills GED Testing Online) won easily, 8-1. The team of freshman Jiaxi Ma (Irvine Woodbridge) and freshman John Dick (Newport Beach Corona del Mar) took down the Rams, 8-0. The team of freshman Ofek Ben Harosh (Misgav Am (ISR) Har Vagai) and freshman Gerardo Dominguez (Thermal Coachella Valley) also won easily, 8-0.

In singles play, Ma only allowed a single point in his dominate win against Victor Valley, downing his Rams opponent in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-1. Alvarez, Shaw, Dick, Ben Harosh and Dominguez effortlessly won in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-0.

The next match for College of the Desert Men's Tennis will be on the road at the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles of San Jacinto where they will continue Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) on March 3rd at 11a. The next home match for the Roadrunners will be on March 15th at 2p, where they will continue IEAC play, hosting the San Diego City Knights.

College of the Desert defeated Victor Valley College, 9-0 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play at Victor Valley College in Victorville.
