COD Men’s Cross Country finishes 9th at Brubaker Invitational
COD entered their fifth event of the 2017 season at Irvine Regional Park in Orange for the Brubaker Invitational, where the team finished 9th overall on the 4 mile course.

COD entered their fifth event of the 2017 season at Irvine Regional Park in Orange for the Brubaker Invitational, where the team finished 9th overall on the 4 mile course.
The Roadrunners finished with 267 points, grabbing the top spot for Desert in Orange was freshman David Hernandez (La Quinta H.S.), collecting a 46th place finish and a time of 24:29.5.
Right behind was sophomore Jesus Garcia (Desert Hot Springs H.S.) who finished 47th, collecting a time of 24:35.9 and freshman Christian Cardoza (Cathedral City H.S.), who crossed the finish line at 25:26.8, good enough for 54th place.
Sophomore Bryan Meyers (La Quinta H.S.) wrapped up a 58th place finish with a time of 26:25.6 and sophomore Jose Verdejo (Cordoba (Spain) I.E.S. Séneca) wrapped up the top five for COD with a time of 29:03.7, placing 62nd.
Freshman Christopher Figueroa (Thermal Coachella Valley) and sophomore Albert Blanco (Palm Springs H.S.) finished 64th and 65th for the Roadrunners on the afternoon.
