Softball: Jolene Ruiz Inks with Mayville State (ND)

PALM DESERT, Calif. -- College of the Desert softball sophomore Jolene Ruiz (Indio, CA) has signed to continue her softball and academic careers at NAIA-member, Mayville State, located in Mayville, North Dakota.

Ruiz appeared in 33 games for the Lady Roadrunners, batting .276 with 27 hits.  Her hit total would rank second on the team, while her one home run tied for the team lead.  Ruiz added 10 RBI and one double, while also making two starts on the mound.  She would earn one win and strike out 10 over her 14.2 innings of duty.  Ruiz also plans to study Psychology.
