COD Softball: Robinson named 3CFCA Player of the Week

COD Softball freshman right handed starting pitcher Lauren Robinson (La Quinta H.S.) was named the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) Player of the Week for Week 8.

According to the release, issued by 3CFCA Sports Information Director, Andrew Wheeler, "Robinson, who is currently third in the entire State in batting average, was the high point in a 1-2 week for the Roadrunners. She has been a revelation for the Roadrunners of College of the Desert in 2019. Robinson is third in the State and first in Southern California in batting average with a .551 mark.

For Week #8 Robinson displayed her hitting skills, by going 5-for-8 with a trio of runs scored. She added 8 RBIs, hitting three doubles and a home run. Robinson prepped at La Quinta High School in La Quinta, CA."
