2022 COD Softball News
COD (12-26) concluded the 2022 season, by honoring seven sophomores and then by shooting down the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles of Menifee (11-20) in five innings, 10-2.
COD (10-19) received big production out of Davia Hines in the batter’s box and Jessie Rios-Huerta in the pitcher’s circle as the Roadrunners stunned the Moorpark Raiders (21-8), 6-4.
COD (8-16; 5-3) fought from behind both games of their double header, defeating heat and the Cerro Coso Coyotes of Ridgecrest (4-23; 0-9), 13-6 and 7-5.
COD (6-11; 3-2) hosted an exciting day of softball, as the Roadrunners scored late in game one for a win, then snagged a walk-off win in game two, to sweep the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines (5-14; 1-3), 5-4 & 7-6.
COD (3-7; 1-0) will submit their entry into the “Cardiac Kids” pool, as two of their three wins have arrived via a frenzy of last out offense, today’s victim was the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles of Menifee (2-9; 0-3), 11-10 in 8 innings.
COD (1-4) scored 4 runs in the 7th to tie the game, then winning it on a 2 run home run by Lauren Robinson as the Roadrunners chased away the Citrus Fighting Owls of Glendora (3-7), 11-9 in 8 innings.
Armed with a strong group of fresh Roadrunner recruits, the COD coaching staff is excited for the future.
