COD Women’s Golf: Liu named PCAC Athlete of the Week
COD Women’s Golf freshman Li Chi Liu (Palm Desert H.S.) has been named as the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference’s (PCAC) Female Athlete of the Week for the week of October 3rd.
COD Women's Golf freshman Li Chi Liu (Palm Desert H.S.) has been named as the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference's (PCAC) Female Athlete of the Week for the week of October 3rd.
This is the first season of competition in the PCAC for COD.
According to the release, issued by PCAC Sports Information Director, Tom Saxe, "Liu, medaled in two PCAC five-team matches and has the best overall average in the conference of 77.8 (389 strokes) for the first five matches in the 10-match PCAC season.
Liu shot a 79 to win last Monday's match, hosted by Cuyamaca College at Sycuan Golf in El Cajon, by 3 strokes. She came back Wednesday to tie Cuyamaca's Jule Loibl for medalist honors by shooting a 73 in a match hosted by Mt. San Jacinto at The Country Club at Soboba Springs in San Jacinto.
Liu previously medaled at 76 in a match hosted by her COD team at Ironwood Country Club in Palm Desert on Sept. 21."
