COD Women's Golf: Speer and Urquidez qualify for State Final
COD Women's Golf finished 13th and 36th, qualifying both Roadrunners for the 3C2A State Final tournament on November 17 and 18.
COD had two golfers participate in the two-day event which took place at Los Serranos Country Club - North Course in Chino Hills hosted by the Orange Empire Conference.
Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Chino was sophomore Kayla Speer (Yucaipa H.S.), shot an 88 on day one and then tied a previous season low, by collecting an 81 in round two for a total of 169, placing her tied for 14th.
Finishing 36th was freshman Myah Urquidez (Banning H.S.), who shot a 105 on day one of the Regional Finals and a 106 on day two, for a total of 211.
The next event for Desert will be at Monarch Dunes Golf Course in Nipomo, as the Roadrunners participate in the 1st round of the 3C2A State Final on Sunday, November 17th at 12 p.m.
