The College of the Desert Women's Golf team closed out the 2025 regular season with strong performances at the Orange Empire Conference Finals, hosted at Fullerton Golf Club. Their efforts paid off as all three Roadrunners advanced to the Southern California Regional Championship, set for November 9–10 at Olivia Links Golf Course in Ventura.
Freshman Daisy Castro (La Quinta H.S.) capped an impressive debut season by finishing 13th overall in conference play. She carded a 94 on day one and followed it up with her third-best score of the year, a 91 on day two. Castro narrowly missed All-Conference honors by just one spot, as only the top 12 golfers earn All-OEC recognition (six 1st Team, six 2nd Team).
Freshman Jiiana Cordova (Rancho Mirage H.S.) led the way for COD, posting consistent rounds of 92-92, while sophomore Myah Urquidez (Banning H.S.) made a huge leap, following up a 109 on day one with a season-low 89 on day two, a remarkable 20-stroke improvement.
Next up for the Roadrunners is the SoCal Regional Championship, where they'll compete against the top golfers from across Southern California at Olivia Links Golf Course in Ventura on November 9–10.
