COD Women’s Soccer shuts out the Arabs, 6-0
COD (7-7-1, 6-4) got back to level on the season with the team leader in goals scored grabbing two more and the defense collecting their fourth shutout of the season, besting the Imperial Valley Arabs (0-11, 0-10), 6-0.

Desert has not had six Conference wins since 1999, with the prospect for more with six games left in the 2016 season.
Game winning in the 15th minute by freshman midfielder Melita Pena (La Quinta H.S.), she would score her 2nd on the day in the 63rd minute, leading the team with nine goals so far this season.
Goals also scored by freshman midfielder Valarie Reyes (Thermal Coachella Valley), freshman forward Natalie Navarro (Indio Shadow Hills), freshman defender Daniela De Mara (Thermal Coachella Valley) and freshman forward Maranda Palmer (Twentynine Palms H.S.) had a goal and an assist on the day.
Desert out-shot the opponent 38 – 3, with sophomore goal keeper Britney Vargas (La Quinta H.S.) making 2 saves to preserve the 4th shutout on the season.
The Roadrunners move to 7-7-1 overall and 6-4 in the PCAC next action taking place Tuesday Oct. 25th at home versus Grossmont with a 1:00 kickoff.
