Lucas Rosales
Assistant Coach
Lucas Rosales was honored as the assistant coach for the Women’s Soccer team at College of the Desert in the summer of 2023. Rosales has an extensive player resume and is a College of the Desert Alumni.
Lucas Rosales grew up in the Coachella Valley and attended La Quinta High School where he was a key player on a team that won league and CIF championships in 2015 and a league title in 2017. Earned first-team All-CIF and first-team All-League honors. Was league MVP and the Desert Sun’s Soccer Athlete of the Year. Had 36 goals and 14 assists in high school.
After high school, Rosales attended Cal State Fullerton and was a redshirt in his one year with the program. At College of the Desert Rosales scored 18 goals with nine assists in two years with a program that won back-to-back conference titles. Earned All-Conference honors. At Cal State Los Angeles Rosales scored eight goals with one assist. Made a big impact for a team that were CCAA league champions, Back to Back CCAA tournament champions, NCAA regional champions and won the 2021 NCAA National Championship for the first time in school history.
After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Cal State University Los Angeles. Rosales joined the College of the Desert Men’s Soccer coaching staff as a volunteer in the spring of 2023.
Aside from coaching women’s soccer at College of the Desert, Rosales also coaches the B08 FCA soccer team based in the Coachella Valley and works as a personal soccer trainer to kids and elite athletes. Rosales currently resides in La Quinta.
