The College of the Desert women’s tennis team closed out a spirited 2025 season at the prestigious 3C2A State Championships in Ojai, proudly represented by the doubles team of freshman Elyse Woodforde (Palm Desert H.S.) and freshman Mia Castillo (Indio H.S.).
The College of the Desert women’s tennis team continues its upward swing, qualifying four athletes for the prestigious 3C2A State Championships in Ojai after a strong showing at the South Coast Conference (SCC) Championships.
COD (4-1; 3-1) continued to roll in South Coast Conference play as they knocked off the winless El Camino Warriors of Torrance (0-8; 0-4), 5-4.
COD (3-1) rolled in their reschedule match, grabbing two wins at the doubles and four at the singles, as the Roadrunners defeated the Southwestern Apaches of Chula Vista (1-5), 6-3.
COD (1-0) fought their way to their first win since 2023, knocking off the pesky El Camino Warriors of Torrance (0-3) in South Coast Conference play, 5-4.
