COD Volleyball sophomore middle blocker Aaliyah Muhammad (Los Angeles Westchester) has signed a letter of intent with University of Alaska Fairbanks.
COD Women’s Volleyball sophomore outside hitter Naomi Garcia-Marquez (Rancho Mirage H.S.) has signed a letter of intent with Westcliff University.
The 2019 season was the eighth year for co-head coaches Marion Champion and Detlev Rothe as Desert ended the season with a record of 15-9 overall and 8-2 in Conference, winning the inaugural Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) title and their first title since 2007.
COD (15-9; 8-2) had a share of the inaugural Inland Empire Athletic Conference title in hand before they even started their game on Wednesday, while the result was not ideal, the 2019 Conference Champions reside in the Coachella Valley.

COD (8-7; 1-0) made some history as they had a clean sweep of the Victor Valley Rams (0-8; 0-1) in a Conference match for the first time since 2008, as the Roadrunners throttled the Rams, 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-17).
COD (7-7) moved back to even on the season, knocking off an LA Pierce Brahmas (1-4) team for the first time in program history in a sweep, 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-14).
Desert opened the Mt. San Antonio Invitational in Walnut where the Roadrunners split a two match event, falling to the Butte Roadrunners in five and grabbing a win against the host Mounties, 3-1.
COD (5-3) faced a winless Santa Monica Corsairs (0-5) squad and an undefeated Orange Coast Pirates (5-0) team at the Orange Coast Tri in Costa Mesa.
COD (1-0) opened up 2019 with a bang, hosting the season opener and taking five sets to knock off a familiar foe, the Antelope Valley Marauders of Lancaster (0-2), with the Roadrunners taking the game, 3-2 (24-26, 25-16, 24-26, 25-21, 15-4).
