2022 COD Women's Volleyball News
COD Volleyball has claimed the #19 seed and will be participating in their first playoff game since 2007, traveling to the #14 Rio Hondo Roadrunners of Whittier in the opening round of the SoCal Regional playoffs.
COD (14-8; 9-0) celebrated Sophomore Night by grabbing their tenth sweep of the season, this time their victim was the hapless San Bernardino Valley Wolverines (3-18; 3-6), 3-0 (25-9, 25-5, 25-16).
COD (13-8; 8-0) has had one team in their way to the last five playoff appearances and Conference titles, tonight, in front of a raucous home crowd, the Roadrunners pushed past that obstacle and shot down the defending IEAC Champs, the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles (14-11; 7-2), snagging their first Championship in 15 years, while grabbing their ninth sweep of 2022, 3-0 (25-17, 27-25, 25-16).
COD (12-7; 7-0) remained undefeated in IEAC play, continuing their dominance of Conference opponents after grabbing their eighth sweep of the season, knocking off the Victor Valley Rams of Victorville (2-9, 2-6), 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-10).
COD (11-7; 6-0) continued their dominance of Conference opponents, setting the table for the Roadrunners first visit to the playoffs since 2007 as Desert remained undefeated in IEAC play, after knocking off the Copper Mountain Fighting Cacti of Joshua Tree (0-10; 0-6), 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-7).
COD (5-5) shook up the Volleyball world, at least in Southern California, thanks to great plays and an awesome home crowd as the Roadrunners hosted a five-set thriller, knocking off the East Los Angeles Huskies of Monterey Park (8-2), 3-2 (17-25, 25-15, 25-19, 22-25, 15-7).
COD (4-5) had great contributions from all sides, on serve receive to defense to the amazing fans, as the Roadrunners chased away the Riverside City Tigers (3-5), 3-1 (25-17, 25-16, 24-26, 25-16).
COD (3-5) spent the first 17 days of the season on the road and came home to give the raucous crowd a sweep of the Southwestern Jaguars of Chula Vista (5-4), 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-20).
COD (1-3) grabbed their first win of the 2022 season, snagging a sweep on the road and knocking off the Imperial Valley Arabs (1-6), 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-23).
