COD Volleyball sweeps the Seahawks, 3-0
The Roadrunners (5-2) picked up their second sweep of the season in dominant fashion, defeating the Los Angeles Harbor Seahawks of Wilmington (1-1) in the first-ever meeting between the two programs, 3-0 (25-7, 25-13, 25-13).

Sophomore outside hitter Clairie Thomas (La Quinta H.S.) powered the offense with a team-high 14 kills, adding 4 service aces and nine digs. Freshman libero Meriah Escobedo (Xavier College Prep) anchored the defense with 10 digs, while also chipping in an ace.
Freshman setter Juliette Rothe (Xavier College Prep) set the pace with 27 assists and a match-high 6 service aces, while also tallying three kills. Freshman right side Sara Hanley (Xavier College Prep) added two kills, an ace, and 3 digs.
Freshman outside hitter Amber Kardol (Palm Desert H.S.) contributed across the board with a kill, a block assist, and three digs. Freshman outside hitter Leslie Delgado (Coachella Valley H.S.) notched six kills, and freshman middle blocker Madyson Duran (Rancho Mirage H.S.) chipped in three kills and a block assist.
The Roadrunners return home on Wednesday, September 3 at 5 p.m. to host the Imperial Valley Desert Warriors. COD and Imperial Valley first squared off back in 1976, when IVC was known as the Arabs. Desert leads the all-time series 27-14, including a 9-7 record at home in Palm Desert.
