COD Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Imperial Valley on the Road, 3–0
The College of the Desert women’s volleyball team (10–4) notched its sixth sweep of the season, cruising past the Imperial Valley Desert Warriors (0–2) in straight sets, 3–0 (25–23, 25–20, 25–11).

It marked COD's second sweep of Imperial Valley in just 12 days, with this meeting proving far more decisive than the first, a tighter matchup on September 3 in Palm Desert. The Roadrunners have now won five straight against Imperial Valley, improving their record to 14–6 all-time in Imperial and 29–14 overall in the series.
Sophomore outside hitter Clairie Thomas (La Quinta H.S.) continued her strong season, leading the Roadrunners with 13 kills and 10 digs for her latest double-digit performance. Freshman right side Faiyth Robinson (Bermuda Dunes Desert Christian Academy) delivered a career night, setting a season-high with six service aces while adding six digs. Freshman middle blocker Jackie Leon (La Quinta H.S.) also posted a season-best, tallying five kills along with a solo block and two block assists.
Freshman outside hitter Leslie Delgado (Thermal Coachella Valley) added 11 kills and seven digs, while freshman libero Isabella Rosales (Indio Shadow Hills) anchored the defense with nine digs. Freshman setter Juliette Rothe (Palm Desert Xavier College Prep) directed the offense with 38 assists, and also chipped in two aces and five digs.
Additional contributions came from across the roster: freshman outside hitter Amber Kardol (Palm Desert H.S.) collected five digs, freshman defensive specialist Nadia Malone (La Quinta H.S.) tallied a season-high six digs, and sophomore middle blocker Madyson Duran (Rancho Mirage H.S.) added five kills and two block assists.
The Roadrunners will now enjoy a nine-day break before heading north to compete in the Pirates Tri in Ventura on September 24. COD returns home on Friday, September 26 at 5 p.m., hosting the El Camino Warriors (3–6) of Torrance in the first-ever meeting, in Palm Desert, between the two programs.
