COD Women’s Cross Country finishes 8th at Brubaker Invitational
COD entered their fourth event of the 2017 season at Irvine Regional Park in Orange for the Brubaker Invitational, where the team finished 8th overall on the 5k course.

COD entered their fourth event of the 2017 season at Irvine Regional Park in Orange for the Brubaker Invitational, where the team finished 8th overall on the 5k course.
The Roadrunners finished with 158 points, outpacing Golden West College by 25 points.
Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Orange was freshman Naibe Ruelas (Indio H.S.), collecting a 19th place finish and a time of 22:26.6.
Freshman Brandie Lopez (La Quinta H.S.), dropped 50 seconds from her effort last week, crossing the finish line at 22:49.2, good enough for 22nd place and close behind Lopez's finish was sophomore Lena Saucedo (Tampa (FL) Wingate De Academy), with a 24th place finish and a time of 23:20.7.
Freshman Elisa Polanco (La Quinta H.S.) wrapped up a 45th place finish, dropping 20 seconds off of her previous best, with a time of 25:39.4 and freshman Roberta Pineda (La Quinta H.S.), participating in her second race of the season, wrapped up the top five for COD with a time of 27:07.1, finishing in 48th place.
Sophomore Maria Cruz Cuevas (Salton City West Shores) and freshman Karla Garcia (Palm Desert H.S.) finished 56th and 57th for the Roadrunners on the afternoon.
