COD Women's Cross Country: Lezama qualifies for SoCal Regionals

The Roadrunners had a runner with her season best time on the 3-mile course, the Roadrunners will send Ana Lezama to the SoCal Regionals on Friday, November 8th at 10a at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga.
COD had both runners participate in the fifth event of the 2024 season at Victor Valley College in Victorville for the Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) Championships, where Desert had finishers in 10th and 15th place on the 3-mile course.
Grabbing the top spot for Desert in Victorville was freshman Ana Lezama (La Quinta H.S.), collecting a 10th place and finishing 3 seconds behind a season best crossing the finish line with a 23:52.4. By finishing 10th, Lezama was named 2nd Team All-Conference. Finishing 15th was freshman Lia Limon (Palm Desert Xavier College Prep) dropping 40 seconds from her previous best to run his fastest time of the season and collecting a time of 26:15.7.
