2019 COD Women's Beach Volleyball News
The Beach Volleyball pairs team of Ashtyn Lyneis and Kelsey Smith wedged their way into the Sweet 16 and then grabbed multiple upsets on their way to winning the third place medal at the CCCAA pairs state championship.
COD sent five pairs to compete in San Diego, for the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) Pair’s Title.
COD (11-7; 4-6) was swept by the MiraCosta Spartans (15-7; 7-3), 5-0, before knocking off the Palomar Comets (2-14; 0-10), 3-2, as they head to the PCAC Individual Tournament.
COD (10-4; 3-3) lost a close match to Grossmont, 3-2, then flipped the switch on San Diego Mesa, winning 3-2.
COD (9-3; 2-2) hosted Friday's matches at the Civic Center Park, where they fell to the Grossmont Griffins , 4-1, then swept the Palomar Comets , 5-0.
COD Beach Volleyball (8-2; 1-1) clashed with the San Diego City Knights (9-5; 1-1) at the Civic Center Park, falling 3-2, before sweeping the Pasadena City club team, 5-0.
COD (7-1; 1-0) opened Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play by traveling to San Diego to face off against the San Diego City Knights (7-5; 0-1) and the San Diego State University Aztecs club team.
COD (5-1) continued their winning streak as they knocked off the Cypress Chargers (3-3) and the Fullerton Hornets (0-5).
COD (3-1) held their first home match at the Civic Center Park in Palm desert, sweeping the the Victor Valley Rams (0-2) and the Glendale Vaqueros (1-1).
COD travelled to Huntington Beach, splits against the Orange Coast Pirates and the Long Beach City Vikings.
