Under the tutelage of second-year head coach Ramon Rivas, the #16 seeded Roadrunners Women's Soccer team ended the 2024 season claiming their 1st Conference championship and the first Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) Coach of the Year award for a Desert head coach since 2018.
COD (15-2-3; 7-0-3) were named co-Conference Champions for the first time in program history and are headed to the 3C2A SoCal Regional Playoffs for the first time since, as the Roadrunners swept the season series over the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines (6-13-1; 2-7-1), 3-0.
COD (12-2-1; 4-0-1) took their #18 statewide ranking and held their own against one of the top teams in the Conference, as Desert remained unbeaten in their last 7 games, sweeping the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles of Menifee (7-5-5; 3-3) for the first time since 2021, 3-1.
COD (5-1) scored the go-ahead goal in injury time as Desert knocked off the Rio Hondo Roadrunners of Whittier (1-4) for the first time since 2010, 3-2.
COD (1-0) opened up the 2024 season hosting an early season regular, the Imperial Valley Desert Warriors (0-2), and the result was the same, a lopsided shutout, 8-0.
