COD Women’s Volleyball continues run of road sweeps, knocks off Desert Warriors, 3-0
COD (4-1) continued their road trip to kick off 2024 and grabbed their fourth sweep of the season, defeating the Imperial Valley Desert Warriors, 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-21).

The Roadrunners played against the Imperial Valley Desert Warriors for the first time in program history in 1976, back when they were known as the Imperial Valley Arabs, and hold a 27-14 overall record against them. Desert has a 13-6 record against Imperial Valley in Imperial.
Sophomore outside hitter Alexia Siani-Rader (Palm Desert Xavier College Prep) led the team with 11 kills and 17 digs, also grabbing 2 service aces and sophomore setter Ashley Estrada (Queen Creek (AZ) American Leadership Academy) led the team with 18 set assists and had 2 solo blocks and 2 assist blocks. Sophomore middle blocker Stacie Alexander (Yucca Valley H.S.) had 4 kills and 2 service aces and freshman outside hitter Clairie Thomas (La Quinta H.S.) led the team in service aces with 3 , grabbing 7 kills and 9 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Bella Branconier (Palm Desert Xavier College Prep) had 4 kills, 8 digs and 2 service aces and freshman middle blocker Alyssia Castro (Palm Desert Xavier College Prep) had 4 kills, 2 solo blocks and 2 block assists. Freshman setter Brianna Fabian (Indio H.S.) had 8 set assists in the win.
