Men's Cross Country
The Roadrunners had two runners with season best times on a 4-mile course and with the 4th place finish, the Roadrunners qualified for the SoCal Regionals on Friday, November 8th at 10a at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga.
Desert entered their 4th event of the 2024 season, the Mt. SAC Invitational where the team finished 13th at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, where Desert had finishers in 76th, 83rd, 118th, 138th and 139th place on the 4-mile course.
COD had four runners participate in their first event of the 2024 season at Harry Griffin Park in La Mesa for the Cuyamaca Cross Country Kickoff, where Desert participants finished in 25th, 27th, 35nd and 48th place on the 5-kilometer course.
COD had five runners participate in the final event of the 2023 season at El Dorado East Regional Park in Long Beach for the SoCal Regional Championship, where Desert finished 27th on the 4-mile course.
Desert entered their 6th event of the 2023 season, the IEAC Championship where the team finished 3rd at Morley Field at Balboa Park in San Diego, where Desert finished with a team time of 2:33:35 on the 4-mile course.
Desert entered their 5th event of the 2023 season, the Mt. SAC Invitational where the team finished 15th at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, where Desert finished 15th with a team time of 3:00:57 on the 4-mile course.
COD had six runners participate in the third event of the 2023 season at Morley Field at Balboa Park in San Diego for the Coach Downey XC Classic, where Desert finished 6th with a team time of 2:39:10 on the 4-mile course.
COD had five runners participate in the second event of the 2023 season at El Dorado East Regional Park in Long Beach for the SoCal Preview Meet, where Desert participants finished in 127th, 226th, 252nd and 259th place on the 4-mile course.
COD had three runners participate in the first event of the 2023 season at Ted Craig Regional Park in Brea for the Biola University Invite, where Desert participants finished in 88th, 91st and 112th place on the 8-kilometer course.
College of the Desert Women’s and Men’s Cross Country programs have hired D'Arcy Hlavin to helm the Roadrunners program.
COD had three runners participate in the final event of the season at Norco College in Norco for the Inland Empire Athletic Conference Championship, where Desert participants finished in 24th, 32nd and 33rd place on the 4-mile course.
COD had two runners participate in the second event of the season at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut for the Mt. SAC Invitational, where Desert participants finished in 90th and 114th place on the 4-mile course.
COD had three runners participate in the first event of the 2022 season at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga for the Panthers Cross Country Invitational, where Desert participants finished in 22nd, 39th and 41st place on the 4-mile course.
COD Men’s Cross Country runner Amelio Chio (Cathedral City H.S.) has signed a letter of intent with San José State.
COD freshman Amelio Chio participated in the final event of the 2021 season at Woodward Park in Fresno for the CCCAA State Championships, where he finished in 63rd place on the 4-mile course.
COD freshman Amelio Chio participated in the final regional event of the 2021 season at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley for the CCCAA SoCal Regional Championship, where he finished in 52nd place on the 4-mile course.
