College of the Desert women's volleyball player, sophomore outside hitter Savannah Sharp (Palm Desert H.S.), was named to the 2016 CCCWVCA Volleyball Scholar Athlete Team.

COD (6-13; 2-6) fought back from a 9-point deficit in set three to win the set, unfortunately that was not enough in 5 sets against the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles (15-8; 5-3), 18-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-14 & 19-17.

COD (5-9; 1-2) put together a few solid runs throughout the match, taking leads in all three sets, but in the end the San Marcos Palomar Comets (5-11; 2-1) would prove too much for the Roadrunners, 26-24, 25-21 and 28-26.

COD (4-8; 0-1) opened up Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play for the first time ever against one of the toughest teams in the state, the Oceanside MiraCosta Spartans (17-2; 2-0), falling in four sets, 25-23, 23-25, 25-20 and 25-16.
